Job summary

EMED PHARMACY CORP is seeking a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead and supervise pharmacy operations in New York. The role ensures safe medication dispensing, high-quality patient care, and strict regulatory compliance.

The PIC will manage staff, implement policies, and oversee controlled substances, inventory, and audits while maintaining licenses and documentation required by federal and state laws.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy as permitted by state licensing.
• Current, active pharmacist license in the state of practice.
• Eligibility to serve as PIC under applicable state laws.
• Prior pharmacy supervisory or management experience.
• Knowledge of pharmacy regulations, controlled substances, medication safety, and pharmacy operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and electronic prescription processing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, workflow, and staffing.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate pharmacists, technicians, and other personnel.
• Develop and implement pharmacy policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Promote a professional, collaborative, and patient-centered environment.
• Verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriate dosing, interactions, allergies, and contraindications.
• Ensure safe, accurate, and timely medication dispensing.
• Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and adherence.
• Collaborate with prescribers and healthcare professionals to resolve medication-related concerns.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, maintain licenses and records.
