Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist with state board registration.
• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy.
• Immunization Certification is required.
• Retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Compounding experience or certification is a plus.
• Proven focus on patient care is required.
• Outstanding organizational skills.
• Experience with Pioneer pharmacy system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains records of all pharmacy transactions to ensure drug control and accountability.
• Ensures operation compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Maintains records of prescriptions and submits third-party claims.
• Consults with physicians and nurses on medications; advises on formulary and therapies.
• Monitors storage, distribution, and use of pharmaceuticals.
• Provides training, assigns duties, and participates in evaluations.
• Documents and reports medication errors to supervisor and insurer.
• Maintains close control over store-level operations.
