Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• PTCB certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• At least one year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities to ensure efficient workflow and patient experience.
• Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist pharmacist in patient care activities including patient registration, prescription data entry, medication preparation, counting and verification.
• Support training, scheduling and performance management of pharmacy technicians.
• Contribute to inventory management and recordkeeping; ensure compliance with policies and laws.
