Job summary

Walgreens in New York is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support day-to-day non-clinical operations, patient registration, data entry, prescription processing, and admin tasks under a pharmacist supervision. You will help with training, scheduling, and performance management of the pharmacy team, while ensuring compliant, efficient workflow and positive patient experiences.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
PTCB certification.
One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician.
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacist in delivery of patient care including patient registration and prescription data entry.
Prepare medications for patients, counting and verifying (where allowed by law).
Assist with healthcare service offerings including vaccines and health screenings (where allowed by law).
Delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work in the pharmacy under company policies and law.
Prepare and file reports and records required by the company and government agencies.
Drive pharmacy operations, coordinate daily schedule, and ensure inventory management and security safeguards.
Communicate prescription errors to pharmacist and adhere to QA programs.
