Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare West seeks an experienced Pharmacy Operations Manager to provide leadership to the Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacy staff, coordinating daily workflow and ensuring patient-focused care. The role emphasizes recruiting and developing a skilled team to support safe medication practices.

You will guide policy implementation, supervise staff, and collaborate with management to optimize operations while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist licensed or eligible for licensure.
• Bachelor's Degree or Doctorate Degree required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in pharmacy operations or leadership.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily pharmacy operations and coordinate workflow.
• Collaborate with Pharmacy management to develop and implement policies.
• Maintain information systems to optimize workflows and informatics.
• Oversee staff development, orientation, and ongoing training.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with Joint Commission, NPSG, and USP 797 standards.
• Assist budgeting, cost containment, and staffing optimization.
• Prepare reports for shift changes and ensure patient safety and accurate billing.
