Job summary

Methodist Healthcare System in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Manager of Pharmacy Operations to provide leadership to the Director of Pharmacy and department leadership, coordinating daily workflow and supervising staff to maintain productivity.

You will attract and develop a capable team through recruiting and interviewing, ensure patient- and customer-centered care, and oversee policy implementation, training, and compliance with Joint Commission, USP 797, and safety goals.

Qualifications

• BS or PharmD required.
• 4 years hospital pharmacist experience required.
• ASHP accredited residency or advanced degree (MBA, MHA, MS) preferred.
• State Pharmacy License required.
• Consultant License (if applicable per state) required.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement departmental policy at the pharmacy level.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and workflow of the department.
• Coordinate planning, development, and evaluation of pharmacy services.
• Ensure staff development and ongoing training; orient new employees.
• Ensure policy compliance with regulatory agencies including Joint Commission and USP 797.
• Contribute to budget preparation and cost-containment initiatives.
