Job summary

Walgreens in the United States seeks a Pharmacy Manager to lead a busy pharmacy, ensuring compliant dispensing and delivering clinical services including immunizations and drug therapy reviews. You will supervise staff, optimize workflow, manage inventory and financials, and partner with store leadership to expand health services in the community.

Requires PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, active licensure, immunizer certification or willingness, and 1+ year pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

Active pharmacist license in required states.
BS in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
At least 1 year of pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, and insurance billing.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days.
Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Counsels patients on medicine use, side effects, interactions, and privacy.
Performs drug therapy reviews and medication management.
Reviews and dispenses prescribed medications following regulations.
Ensures compliance with laws and company policies; manages workflow and staff schedules.
Oversees training and performance management of pharmacy staff.
Engages with the local medical community to promote health services.
