Job summary

The role requires a BS in Pharmacy or PharmD, active pharmacist licensure, and immunizer certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days, plus at least 1 year of pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited school.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including dispensing, recordkeeping, and insurance billing.
• Experience with prescription dispensing and state/federal controlled substance laws.
• Internal candidates: leadership rating of 3.0+ on last review.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and privacy, referring to providers as needed.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Reviews, interprets, and dispenses prescribed medications in compliance with laws.
• Oversees pharmacy operations, scheduling, allocation of roles, and staff training.
• Ensures Good Faith Dispensing per policy and supports new strategic opportunities.
• Maintains pharmacy IT knowledge and supports productivity and accuracy.
