Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to oversee daily operations, lead pharmacy staff, and ensure compliant dispensing of medications. You will enhance patient experiences, manage inventory, and coordinate with healthcare providers to improve outcomes.

The role requires a Doctor of Pharmacy or equivalent, active licensure, immunizer certification or eligibility, and retail pharmacy experience. Strong leadership and customer-service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year pharmacy experience in a retail setting including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance.
• Experience with prescription dispensing activities and knowledge of state/federal laws.

Responsibilities

• Lead pharmacy operations, including opening/closing, scheduling, and staff delegation.
• Counsel patients on medications, drug interactions, side effects and counseling.
• Oversee inventory management: ordering, stocking, pricing, and shrink control.
• Ensure accurate dispensing of prescriptions and review for compliance.
• Manage performance, training, coaching, and performance appraisals.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and Good Faith Dispensing practices.
• Maintain pharmacy software, billing, and clinical documentation workflows.
• Collaborate with providers and insurance to resolve claims and issues.
