Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time, certified pharmacy technician in Raleigh, NC to support non-clinical pharmacy operations and ensure a positive patient experience under pharmacist supervision.

You will assist with data entry, prescription processing, and preparation of medications, while helping with vaccines and health services where allowed. The role also focuses on training, inventory, and collaboration with management to optimize workflow and customer care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations).

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including registration, prescription data entry, and preparation of medications.
• Count, verify medications, and handle prescription calls under supervision.
• Support vaccination and health screening services where allowed by law.
• Delegate non-clinical tasks and ensure on-time workflow under company policies.
• Maintain reports and inventory records; ensure security and proper recordkeeping.
