Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist in patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications for patients, counting, and verifying (where allowed by law).
• Under supervision of a pharmacist, assists with healthcare service offerings including administering vaccines, health screenings, and any health services allowed by law.
• Within guidelines of policies, delegate non-clinical work in the pharmacy and ensure tasks are completed on-time.
• Prepares and files reports and records required by the company and government agencies.
• Helps manage pharmacy workflow, inventory, and security safeguards.
• Communicates prescription errors and resolves insurance issues.
• Supports community outreach and off-site immunization clinics.
