Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
• PTCB certification is required (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care activities, including registration and prescription data entry.
• Prepare, count, and verify medications under pharmacist supervision, and support vaccine/health services offerings where allowed by law.
• Delegate non-clinical work, supervise technicians, and ensure on-time completion of tasks.
• Prepare and file reports, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Lead technician training, performance management, and scheduling; monitor licensure and certifications.
• Communicate prescription errors to pharmacists and support insurance claim processing.
