Job summary

Walgreens in Utica, NY is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations under a pharmacist’s supervision. You will handle patient data entry, processing prescriptions, and participate in vaccine administration and health services where allowed by law.

Responsibilities include scheduling, training and supervising pharmacy technicians, ensuring accurate records, and maintaining compliant inventory and workflow.

Qualifications

• PTCB certification required and maintained.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital settings.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in delivery of patient care including registration, data entry, medication prep and verification where allowed by law.
• Handle non-clinical calls, recordkeeping, and inventory management under policy and law.
• Support vaccine administration, health screenings and other services where permitted.
• Lead training, coaching and performance management of technicians and manage scheduling.
• Ensure accurate processing of insurance claims and coordinate with providers to minimize rejections.
• Coordinate store/pharmacy meetings and communication with the pharmacy team.
