Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-timeCertified Pharmacy Technician in New York to support non-clinical pharmacy operations under pharmacist supervision. You will handle patient registration, data entry, medication preparation, and basic health services such as vaccines where allowed by law.

You will lead training and performance management of technicians, schedule and develop staff, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements while focusing on a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• Has one year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations)

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care, register patients, data entry, preparation of medications.
• Count and verify medications; complete patient and physician calls under pharmacist supervision.
• Support healthcare services such as vaccines and health screenings where allowed by law.
• Delegate non-clinical work within policy; manage daily workflow and inventory.
• Prepare and file reports and records required by company and government agencies.
• Maintain inventory, ensure pharmacy security, and oversee records.
