Job summary

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. degree required; NY license.
• Residency or board certification preferred.
• Several years of pharmacy leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Optimize workflow processes to enhance productivity and patient safety.
• Implement and maintain inventory control strategies to prevent stock shortages and minimize waste.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations, including Board of Pharmacy and DEA requirements.
• Monitor and enforce policies related to medication storage, handling, and dispensing.
• Lead audits and quality assurance initiatives to uphold patient safety and medication accuracy.
• Assist in budget preparation, cost containment strategies, and revenue cycle optimization.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of pharmacy automation and information systems.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate pharmacy systems with broader hospital technologies.
