Job summary

Walgreens in Minnesota is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support day-to-day non-clinical operations, maintain efficient workflow, and deliver a positive patient experience under pharmacist supervision.

You will assist with prescription processing, data entry, vaccine administration, inventory management, training of staff, and coordination of community outreach with pharmacy leadership. Strong English, a high school diploma, and PTCB certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in delivery of patient care, including patient registration, prescription data entry, and preparation of medications.
• Count, verify, and package medications under pharmacist supervision where allowed by law.
• Support vaccine administration, health screenings, and other health services per policy.
• Delegate non-clinical tasks to staff within company guidelines and ensure on-time completion.
• Prepare reports and records as required by company and government agencies.
• Manage pharmacy workflow, schedule, and inventory to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with Good Faith Dispensing policies and security protocols.
• Handle prescription errors with supervisor and participate in quality improvement processes.
• Assist in resolving insurance claims and follow up with payers as needed.
