Job summary

Walgreens in California is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist. You will handle patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and participate in immunization and health service offerings where allowed.

You will lead training and performance management of technicians, manage scheduling, and ensure compliance with company policies and laws.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with patient registration, data entry, and prescription processing.
• Respond to patient calls and support vaccination and health service offerings where allowed.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliant inventory management.
• Support store and pharmacy managers in training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Ensure Good Faith Dispensing compliance and manage insurance claim processing.
• Coordinate community outreach and off-site immunization clinics as directed.
