Qualifications

• Must be a licensed pharmacist in good standing within the state(s) of the region as necessary.
• Immunization certification through a recognized body and CPR certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply fractions, percentages and proportions.

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions of staff pharmacists and support promotions.
• Respond to relief coverage needs and travel locations.
• Administer immunizations following standing orders and procedures.
• Dispense or compound medications following laws and ethics standards.
• Review prescriptions for accuracy and determine formulas needed.
• Verify technicians and interns for accuracy of prescriptions.
• Ensure drug interactions are checked and managed.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and fraud, waste and abuse guidelines.
• Maintain records, data entry, inventory, and sales of prescriptions.
• Maximize gross profit and minimize operating expenses.
