• Fulfill prescription needs of customers while concentrating on accuracy of every prescription filled and provide patient counseling.
• Responsible for compliance with all local, state, and federal laws governing the practice of pharmacy for department.
• Maintain professional image through appearance and conduct; adhere to pharmacy standards and dress code.
• Achieve knowledge of trade area, customers, and competition.
• Create pharmacy department image of service, friendliness, and cooperativeness with customers and staff.
• Monitor stock replenishment, inventory levels, record keeping, security, scheduling, equipment operation, pricing, and recalls per policy.
• Maintain records and security on all scheduled drugs (controlled substances).
• Follow procedures for handling pharmacy products from approved sources.
• Utilize accuracy tools and post-dispensing audits as required.
• Establish and maintain records for legal compliance and company policies.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and signage; facilitate patient counseling and service quality.
• Ensure timely handling of returns per policy.
