Job summary

The Kroger Co. in Kentucky is seeking a pharmacist to ensure precise prescription fulfillment, patient counseling, and strict compliance with all laws including HIPAA. You will maintain a professional image and uphold Kroger’s standards while managing inventory, records, and staff coordination.

You will collaborate with associates to deliver excellent customer service, support department goals, and maintain a safe, clean pharmacy environment for repeat customers.

Qualifications

• Must handle stressful situations while delivering accurate prescriptions.
• Strong math skills for calculations and pricing accuracy.
• Second language ability (speaking, reading, or writing) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill customers' prescription needs with emphasis on accuracy.
• Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care to customers.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws including HIPAA.
• Maintain professional image and adhere to Kroger standards.
• Develop knowledge of the trade area, customers, and competition.
• Create a positive pharmacy department image through service and cooperation.
• Monitor inventory, record keeping, budgets, and returns per policy.
• Maintain records for scheduled drugs and verify source of pharmacy products.
• Use accuracy tools and post-dispensing audits as required.
• Maintain signage, staff knowledge, and proper equipment operation.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
