Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a pharmacist to join our pharmacy team in a customer-focused environment. You will fulfill prescriptions with precision, counsel patients, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and all laws.

Maintain a professional image, manage inventory, and support ongoing training to advance pharmacy services. Responsibilities include working with associates to optimize the patient experience, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring proper operation of pharmacy equipment.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree required and able to practice.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• 1 year of retail experience.
• Second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing).

Responsibilities

• Fulfill customers' prescription needs with accuracy.
• Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care to customers.
• Ensure pharmacies comply with all local, state and federal laws (including HIPAA).
• Maintain professional image and adhere to company dress standards.
• Achieve knowledge of trade area, customers and competition.
• Create a positive pharmacy department image with service and cooperation.
• Monitor stock replenishment, inventory levels, and policies.
• Maintain records and security on scheduled drugs.
• Follow procedures for handling pharmacy products from authorized sources.
• Utilize accuracy tools and audits appropriately.
• Maintain signage and department organization.
• Broadly expand personal knowledge and pharmacy skills.
• Perform essential job functions with or without accommodation.
