Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time, certified pharmacy technician in Westfield, NJ. You will support pharmacists in patient care, data entry, dispensing, and vaccine or health service activities where permitted by law.

Under supervision, you will manage non-clinical tasks, inventory, and training, while ensuring accurate processing of prescriptions and adherence to company policies and state/federal laws. A one-year tech experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in the delivery of patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications for patients, counting, and verifying where allowed by law.
• Under pharmacist supervision, delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work in the pharmacy to ensure on-time tasks and efficient workflow.
• Lead technician hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling; monitor training completion and compliance.
