Job summary

Walgreens is hiring a full-time certified pharmacy technician in Tennessee. You will assist pharmacists with patient care, prescription processing, and non-clinical tasks while ensuring compliance with laws and company policies.

The role includes training and supervising junior technicians and delivering strong customer service. You will manage inventory, support insurance processing, and participate in health services offered by the pharmacy.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacist in the delivery of patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications for patients, counting, and verifying where allowed by law.
Within the guidelines of authorized company policies, state and federal laws/regulations, delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work in the pharmacy to ensure on-time completion.
Lead training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians.
Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure a positive experience and effective service delivery.
