Job summary

CGH Medical Center seeks an Assistant Director of Pharmacy to supervise and continually improve pharmacy operations. You will oversee staff, manage staffing, and ensure accurate time and attendance, while disseminating drug information to clinicians and patients.

You will support formulary processes and security protocols across the center. The role requires a pharmD/BS degree, Illinois license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Current Illinois Registered Pharmacist License is required.
• Computer literacy with Windows and pharmacy software applications is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communications skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in managing, supervising, and improving the pharmacy’s processes and performance.
• Performs staffing pharmacist duties and schedules staff, handling PTO and time issues.
• Provides drug information to health care professionals and patients.
• Ensures appropriate security, formulary management, and documentation
• In the absence of the Director, assumes the Director role.
