Job summary

Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia seeks a Clinical Pharmacist to oversee the medication distribution system and resolve drug therapy problems, ensuring each medication is indicated, effective, safe, and convenient for patients.

You will supervise distribution across the unit, train staff including residents and technicians, and promote formulary compliance while contributing to quality improvement aligned with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or PA license required; pharmacokinetic dosing knowledge.
• Monitor patient responses to medications.
• Promote and assure compliance with the hospital formulary and policies.
• Provide care appropriate to patient age and cultural background.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with Jefferson values.
• Assures the appropriateness of drug therapy and compliance with hospital policies.
• Oversees the distribution of medications throughout TJUH.
• Supports implementation of processes to assure the quality of Pharmacy services.
• Trains staff as assigned (residents, interns, technicians, new pharmacists).
• Precepts student pharmacists as assigned.
