Job summary

Albany Medical Center seeks an Associate Pharmacy Director of Operations-PCSD to oversee the Pharmacy Department operations and the hospital's medication-use processes. This leadership role reports to the Director of Pharmacy and partners with the Pharmacy Director and clinical services leadership to advance pharmaceutical care.

Responsibilities include co-managing, directing day-to-day activities, staffing, budgeting, implementing technology, ensuring safety, and collaboration across care teams

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of drug therapy and pharmaceutical care.
• Experience with budgeting and department operations.
• Strong leadership and communication for cross-department collaboration.
• Familiarity with medication use technologies and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Co-manage the Department of Pharmacy with Pharmacy Director and Associate Director of Clinical Services.
• Oversee day-to-day operations with Pharmacy supervisors.
• Oversee recruitment and hiring of pharmacy staff.
• Oversee HR management of the Pharmacy Department.
• Lead center-wide pharmaceutical care initiatives and patient outcomes.
• Plan and lead technology implementations related to medication use.
