• Engages patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and joyful patient experience.
• Connects with patients by anticipating needs and proactively offering services, promoting Walgreens pharmacy role shift.
• Participates and assists in events reflecting the communities served.
• Counsels patients and answers questions regarding usage of medicine, side effects, interactions, privacy.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Reviews, interprets, and accurately dispenses prescribed medications, as required.
• Ensures the pharmacy operates in accordance with regulations, company policies and standards, including Good Faith Dispensing.
• Collaborates with Store Manager to define and develop new strategic business opportunities.
• Maintains IT knowledge of pharmacy systems and supports staff with IT.
• Ensures insurance claims are processed accurately and handles third party audits.
• Follows up with providers about prescriptions and wellbeing services.
