Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a Pharmacy Manager in Wisconsin to lead clinical services, immunizations, and daily pharmacy operations. You will ensure regulatory compliance, accurate dispensing, and high-quality patient care while managing inventory and staff performance.

In this role you will mentor pharmacists, optimize workflow, and collaborate with providers to expand health services, such as immunizations and disease management, within Walgreens stores.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree and active licensure in the district states.
• Certified Immunizer or able to become one within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, and insurance billing.
• Experience with state and federal controlled substance laws.
• No disciplinary actions in the last 12 months (internal candidates only).

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medication usage, interactions, and side effects.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Dispenses prescriptions accurately and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Oversees workflow, scheduling, and staff training.
• Maintains pharmacy IT systems, inventory, and point of sale.
• Ensures insurance claims are processed to prevent rejections.
• Collaborates with management to develop new business opportunities.
