Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D is required.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance and insurance billing.
• Experience with state and federal controlled substance laws is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and OTC options.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management.
• Reviews and dispenses prescribed medications in compliance with laws and policies.
• Ensures pharmacy operations comply with regulations and policies; supervises staff and scheduling.
• Uses Good Faith Dispensing practices and collaborates with management on new opportunities.
• Maintains pharmacy IT systems knowledge and supports staff and patients.
