Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a licensed pharmacist to provide empathetic pharmacy consulting, immunizations, and clinical services. The role focuses on accurate dispensing, regulatory compliance, and enhancing patient outcomes within a fast-paced store environment.

You will lead pharmacy operations, manage staff performance, and collaborate with store leadership to deliver high-quality care and a positive patient experience in the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited program.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, and insurance billing.
• Experience with prescription dispensing and knowledge of state/federal controlled substance laws.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients on medication usage, interactions, and safety.
• Perform compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Dispense prescribed medications accurately and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee pharmacy operations, scheduling, and staff performance.
• Support immunizations, diagnostic testing and wellness services when applicable.
• Engage with healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions and optimize therapy.
