Job summary

Walgreens in the United States is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to provide empathetic pharmacy consulting, immunizations, and clinical services. You will ensure accurate dispensing, review drug therapy, and maintain regulatory compliance while managing workflow and staff engagement.

Responsibilities include patient counseling, medication management, and collaboration with store leadership to expand health services and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or PharmD/BS in Pharmacy degree.
• Current pharmacist licensure in district states.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year of pharmacy experience incl. dispensing, recordkeeping, compliance, and tech systems.
• Experience handling prescription dispensing with knowledge of state & federal laws.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients on medicine use, side effects, interactions, and privacy.
• Perform compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Review and dispense prescribed medications accurately and in compliance with policies.
• Maintain pharmacy regulations, policies, staffing, and shift operations.
• Ensure Good Faith Dispensing elements per state/federal law with controlled substances.
• Collaborate with Store Manager on strategic opportunities and community outreach.
• Maintain pharmacy IT systems knowledge and support staff and patients.
