Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including dispensing, recordkeeping, compliance, pharmacy operations, software, and insurance billing.
• Experience with applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
• Internal candidates: average leadership rating of 3.0+ with no disciplinary actions in last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and generics; refer to medical provider when needed.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Reviews and dispenses prescribed medications in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Ensures pharmacy operations comply with laws and company standards; manages staffing, scheduling, and workflow.
• Ensures Good Faith Dispensing elements are followed per policy and laws.
• Collaborates with Store Manager to identify new business opportunities and improve performance.
• Maintains pharmacy IT knowledge and supports staff with systems.”
• Ensures insurance claims are processed accurately to minimize rejections; handles third-party audits.
