Job summary

Walgreens in Kansas City, KS/NW area seeks a Pharmacist Manager to lead the pharmacy team, ensure accurate dispensing, and deliver high-quality patient care across immunizations, drug therapy, and wellness services.

You will optimize workflow, supervise staff, manage inventory, and partner with providers to improve outcomes while maintaining regulatory compliance and a customer-focused experience for the community.

Qualifications

BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D from an accredited institution.
Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
At least 1 year of pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, and legal compliance.
Experience with prescription dispensing and state/federal controlled substance laws.
Leadership behaviors reflected in performance reviews (internal candidates).

Responsibilities

Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and generics.
Verifies and dispenses prescribed medications and conducts drug therapy reviews.
Oversees pharmacy operations, scheduling, and staff performance.
Ensures compliance with regulations and Good Faith dispensing policies.
Maintains inventory, workflow efficiency, and customer experience.
Provides immunizations and wellness services; collaborates with providers.
