Job summary

Walgreens in the United States is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead clinical and operational pharmacy services, including immunizations, drug therapy reviews, dispensing and verification, and ensuring regulatory compliance and quality standards.

You will manage workflow, inventory, staff performance, training, and customer experience, partnering with leadership to grow health services, optimize finances, and deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution.
Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and insurance billing.
Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal laws.

Responsibilities

Engages in patient experience by greeting customers, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction.
Counsels patients on usage, interactions, and generics; refers to medical providers when needed.
Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
Ensures pharmacy operations comply with regulations and policies; oversees staffing and shift changes.
Manages inventory, insurance claims processing, and IT systems relevant to pharmacy operations.
