Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacist Manager to oversee daily pharmacy operations, clinical services, and staff performance. You will ensure accurate dispensing, regulatory compliance, and patient-focused care across immunizations and wellness services.

The role emphasizes leadership, patient experience, and collaboration with store leadership to expand health services and optimize pharmacy outcomes.

Qualifications

BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from an accredited institution.
Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, compliance, ops, software & billing.
Experience dispensing medications with knowledge of state and federal controlled substance laws.
Leadership ratings on performance reviews (if applicable).

Responsibilities

Counsels patients on usage, side effects, interactions, generics, and OTC products.
Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
Reviews and dispenses prescribed medications accurately.
Ensures compliance with regulations and company policies; manages workflow and staffing.
Maintains IT knowledge of pharmacy systems and supports staff and patients.
Monitors insurance claims to prevent rejections and addresses issues with providers.
