Job summary

Walgreens Pharmacy Manager in Dalton, GA is seeking an experienced pharmacist to lead daily operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver compassionate patient care across immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication management.

You will oversee workflow, staff performance, training, and performance reviews, while partnering with local clinicians to expand health services and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from an accredited program.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year of pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, and pharmacy operations.
• Experience with prescription dispensing and adherence to controlled substance laws.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and privacy.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Reviews, interprets, and accurately dispenses prescribed medications in accordance with regulations.
• Opens and closes the pharmacy and oversees staff scheduling and coordination.
• Ensures Good Faith Dispensing compliance with state and federal law when filling prescriptions.
• Analyzes performance data and manages inventory and pharmacy finances.
