Qualifications

Current pharmacist licensure in the district states.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, and insurance billing.
Experience with prescription dispensing activities and knowledge of state/federal controlled substance laws.
Internal candidates: average leadership rating of at least 3.0 with no disciplinary actions in 12 months.

Responsibilities

Counsels patients on use of medicines, side effects, interactions and OTC options.
Performs pharmacy tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
Reviews and dispenses prescribed medications accurately and according to regulations.
Oversees pharmacy operations, staff scheduling, and adherence to Good Faith Dispensing policies.
Maintains pharmacy IT systems and supports staff with technology and productivity.
