Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead a high-performing team in a dynamic retail pharmacy setting. You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure accurate dispensing, and maintain compliance with state and federal laws while delivering exceptional patient care.

You will drive staff development, optimize workflow, and build strong relationships with local clinicians to expand health services and promote community well-being. A valid license and immunization certification are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited school.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and insurance billing.
• Experience with prescription dispensing and state/federal regulated substances.

Responsibilities

• Engage patients, resolve issues, and ensure a positive patient experience.
• Counsel on usage, interactions, and OTC products; refer to provider as needed.
• Perform compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Oversee pharmacy workflow, scheduling, and staff development; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of pharmacy systems, inventory management, billing, and IT tools.
• Process insurance claims and minimize rejections; coordinate with providers.
