Job summary
Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead daily pharmacy operations, supervise staff, and ensure accurate dispensing and regulatory compliance. The role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care, immunization services, and clinical wellness offerings while managing workflow and inventory.
Qualified candidates hold a PharmD/BS in Pharmacy with active licensure, immunizer credentials (or willingness to obtain), and at least 1 year of pharmacy experience in a fast-paced setting.
Qualifications
- BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D and active pharmacist licensure.
- Immunizer certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
- At least 1 year of pharmacy experience including dispensing and compliance.
- Experience with pharmacy software and insurance billing processes.
- Strong leadership and performance management abilities.
Responsibilities
- Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and generics.
- Perform compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
- Review, interpret, and dispense prescribed medications in compliance with laws.
- Ensure pharmacy operations align with regulations and company policies.
- Lead staff scheduling, roles, training, and performance reviews.
- Collaborate with Store Manager on opportunities and inventory optimization.
