Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead a high-volume retail pharmacy team, oversee operations, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes patient-centered services, including immunizations, drug therapy reviews, and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree required.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including dispensing, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, software and insurance billing.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, allergies, and OTC options.
• Performs pharmacy tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management.
• Reviews and dispenses prescribed medications in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Maintains pharmacy operations, staffing, scheduling, and compliance with state/federal laws.
• Supports patient registration, virtual reviews where applicable, and continuous quality improvement in service delivery.
• Manages inventory, pricing, and workflow to ensure efficient, compliant operations.
