Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to oversee safe and compliant pharmacy services as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC). You will coordinate patient services with nursing, delivery, and reimbursement teams, manage budgeting and inventory, and lead quality and safety initiatives across sterile compounding and cleanroom activities.

The role requires a pharmacist license, leadership experience, and the ability to manage operations, policy adherence, and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy, with active Pharmacist license in the state(s) of practice.
• Must meet and maintain all State Board of Pharmacy requirements to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC).
• Must also be willing and able to obtain and maintain additional out-of-state licensure as required to support non-resident PIC responsibilities.
• Three years of experience as a pharmacist in a sterile compounding infusion pharmacy setting; OR completion of an ASHP-accredited Infusion Pharmacy Residency Program; OR two years of pharmacist experience with VP approval.
• Two years of leadership experience, including direct people leadership or coordinating staffing/work.
• Internal candidates may qualify based on documented experience at Option Care Health, with leadership approval.

Responsibilities

• Determines patient suitability for home or alternate-site care.
• Supervises, monitors, and evaluates the quality, safety, and effectiveness of care provided by pharmacy staff.
• Manages daily operations and communications.
• Monitors quality indicators, patient outcomes, medication events, and audit findings to identify risk and drive improvement.
• Leads the pharmacy quality-management and patient-safety program.
