Qualifications

• 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and insurance billing.
• Experience performing prescription dispensing activities with knowledge of state and federal controlled substance laws.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district and certification as immunizer or willingness to become one within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and privacy; refers to medical providers as needed.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Reviews and dispenses prescribed medications accurately; ensures regulatory compliance and efficient workflow.
• Oversees pharmacy staff scheduling, roles, and training; opens/closes the pharmacy and manages shift changes.
• Maintains Good Faith Dispensing policies in line with laws; partners with Store Manager to identify opportunities.
