Shields Health Solutions is seeking a Pharmacy Liaison in Durham, NC to act as a bridge between patients, providers, and pharmacy services, ensuring access, education, and adherence throughout treatment journeys.

The role starts with full-time onsite training for 8 weeks, then shifts to a hybrid schedule. Competitive salary with a $2,500 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician registration in the state of employment.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT or ExCPT) required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience; 3–5 years preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with patients and healthcare providers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new systems and applications.
• A patient-focused mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding service and improving patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an integrated member of the clinic team, partnering with providers, nurses, and staff to support patient care.
• Educate patients on pharmacy services and help them navigate their medication journey.
• Support specialty and retail prescription medication needs for patients.
• Conduct medication adherence outreach and refill coordination to help patients stay on therapy.
• Assist with prior authorizations, insurance issues, and patient financial assistance programs.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and the Patient Service Center to ensure seamless patient support.
• Respond to patient inquiries and help resolve medication-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate documentation and manage patient information within required systems.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and create a positive patient experience.

Education

Active Pharmacy Technician registration

National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT/ExCPT)

High school diploma or GED

2+ years Pharmacy Technician experience
