Job summary

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration with medical and nursing teams, and a focus on patient outcomes and cost-effective care across inpatient and outpatient services.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Pharmacy Practice and hospital/health system operations in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Strong knowledge of Pharmaceutical Care and medication therapy management.
• Experience with Pharmacy Benefit Management, formulary optimization, and cost-effective medication use.
• Licensed Pharmacist (PharmD or equivalent) in good standing; Pennsylvania licensure eligibility required.
• Progressive leadership in hospital or health system pharmacy with staff supervision and development.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards (Joint Commission, CMS, state board) and medication safety practices.
• Strong budgeting and resource management skills; lead quality and performance improvement initiatives.
• Effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary clinical and administrative teams.
• Experience with health information systems, EHRs, and pharmacy technology solutions preferred.
• Master's degree in pharmacy administration or healthcare administration is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all pharmacy operations across inpatient and outpatient settings to ensure safe, effective medication use.
• Develop and implement policies, protocols, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Lead budgeting, staffing, and resource utilization for the pharmacy department.
• Collaborate with medical and nursing leadership to optimize formulary and PBM programs.
• Engage in multidisciplinary committees and promote best practices in medication management.
