The Director of Pharmacy is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Pittsburgh, PA. This role oversees all pharmacy operations, including inpatient and outpatient services, ensuring safe, effective, and compliant medication use across the organization. The Director provides strategic direction for pharmaceutical care, develops and implements policies and protocols, and leads quality improvement initiatives aligned with regulatory and accreditation standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing pharmacy staff, coordinating with medical and nursing leadership, optimizing formulary and pharmacy benefit management programs, and monitoring budget and resource utilization. The Director of Pharmacy also supports clinical programs, engages in multidisciplinary committees, and promotes best practices in medication management to enhance patient outcomes and experience.
