Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a Pharmacy Director to lead the hospital pharmacy department, ensuring safe and efficient provision of services and direct patient care. You will manage a team using advanced equipment and technology within a supportive, inclusive environment.

The role emphasizes clinical pharmacy practice, antimicrobial stewardship, inventory optimization, budgeting, and collaboration with hospital leadership to advance patient outcomes across the network.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from a US-accredited program or internationally equivalent program.
• Licensed in good standing by the State Pharmacy Board.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the pharmacy department's operations, including scheduling and ongoing process improvements.
• Provide direct patient and pharmaceutical care.
• Educate staff on pharmaceutical care and medication management to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead hospital committees (Quality Assurance, Formulary, Pharmacy and Therapeutics, MEC, Safety) as needed.
• Collaborate with leadership to manage departmental budgets for staffing, drugs, and supplies.
