Job summary
Walgreens Co. is seeking a licensed pharmacist to provide empathetic patient care, immunizations, and comprehensive pharmacotherapy services in a fast-paced retail setting. The role emphasizes quality dispensing, clinical services, and teamwork to enhance patient outcomes and store performance.
The pharmacist will supervise operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the expansion of health and wellness services within the community.
Qualifications
- BS in Pharmacy or PharmD; active licensure in applicable states.
- Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
- At least 1 year experience including dispensing, recordkeeping, and pharmacy operations.
- Knowledge of state and federal controlled substance laws.
- Experience with pharmacy software and insurance billing systems.
Responsibilities
- Counsels patients on proper usage, side effects, interactions, and OTC options.
- Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
- Reviews and dispenses prescribed medications; ensures accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Manages pharmacy operations, staff scheduling, roles, and collaboration with the Store Manager.
- Adheres to Good Faith Dispensing policy and maintains regulatory documentation.
