Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a licensed pharmacist to provide empathetic pharmacy consulting, immunizations, and clinical services. You will manage dispensing, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead workflow improvements to enhance patient experience.

Responsibilities include counseling, compound and verify medications, and collaborating with store leadership to grow pharmacy services while maintaining high standards of patient care and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D from an accredited school.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, software and insurance billing.
• Experience with state and federal controlled substance laws.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients regarding usage, side effects, interactions, and generics; refers to medical provider when needed.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Reviews, interprets, and dispenses prescribed medications.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and oversees workflow, scheduling, and staff coordination.
• Maintains IT knowledge of pharmacy systems and supports staff and patients.
• Analyzes performance data and manages inventory and assets.
