Job summary

Publix Pharmacy is seeking an Assistant Pharmacy Manager to lead a patient-centered team and deliver best-in-class pharmacy services, including immunizations, MTM, and preventative care, within a community-focused environment.

You will mentor staff, optimize operations, manage scheduling, inventory, and performance metrics, and advance clinical initiatives while upholding Publix’s commitment to excellence and customer care.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Graduate of a school of pharmacy.
• Must have and maintain an unrestricted state pharmacist license.
• Must not have active suspensions, sanctions, or other restrictions related to participation in a private, federal, or state health insurance program upon hire.
• Must not have received an unacceptable result on a company-sponsored drug test within the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Execute strategy and motivate staff as pharmacist-on-duty, setting priorities in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager.
• Provide best-in-class pharmacy service to patients through counseling and clinical services.
• Mentor and develop a high-functioning pharmacy team.
• Lead initiatives to improve patient care and drive operational efficiency.
• Oversee scheduling, tasks, and performance to meet complex operational needs.
• Act as an expert on the pharmacy technology system and prescription processing.
• Manage medication on-hand inventory and pharmacy inventory controls.
• Advance MTM and immunization programs and participate in community health events.
• Maintain a flexible work-week schedule to meet customer needs.
• Assist in all other duties as assigned.
