Job summary

Publix Pharmacy is seeking an Assistant Pharmacy Manager to lead the pharmacy department, oversee staff, and ensure exceptional patient care. You will drive clinical services, manage inventory, and support strategic initiatives in a high-volume retail setting.

The role requires a PharmD from an accredited school, an active state license, and immunization credentials or a plan to obtain them. A strong focus on customer service and operational excellence is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a school of pharmacy.
• Must have and maintain an unrestricted state pharmacist license.
• Must be immunizing pharmacist or scheduled to become one.

Responsibilities

• Be dedicated to the overall pharmacy department success, executing strategy and motivating staff.
• Provide best-in-class pharmacy service, counsel patients, promote loyalty, and offer pharmacist-led clinical services.
• Mentor and develop a high-functioning pharmacy team with developmental opportunities.
• Inspire the team to achieve goals and drive programs and processes.
• Manage department performance including scheduling and task assignment.
• Understand pharmacy metrics to drive sales and service in the pharmacist's absence.
• Serve as an expert on the pharmacy technology system.
• Manage medication on-hand inventory and maximize sales while protecting against shrink.
• Advance clinical initiatives such as MTM and immunizations.
• Participate in local health screenings and community events.
• Maintain a flexible work-week schedule to meet customer needs.
• Assist in other duties as assigned.
